Seaside is a small city located on the Pacific Ocean in Clatsop County, Oregon. Best known for it’s famous Seaside Promenade, Seaside Turnaround, and flat sandy beach. Seaside is one of the Oregon Coast’s most popular tourist destinations and the town plays host to many large annual events including Hood to Coast and the Miss Oregon Pageant. According to historians, the city name of Seaside was chosen because of the “Seaside House” which was a popular summer resort built in the late 1800’s by Ben Holladay. Our first choice for the Best Hotel in Seaside Oregon is the Rivertide Suites Hotel located on the beautiful Necanicum River and just steps from the Seaside Convention Center and downtown Seaside. This hotel provides great views and good walking access to most of the major attractions Seaside has to offer. The only downside to this hotel is it does not have an ocean view and is a few blocks away from the beach. The Rivertide Suites Hotel is a great choice if you’re attending a convention at the Seaside Convention Center.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites is conveniently located close to downtown, the Seaside Convention Center, and the Necanicum River. This upscale chain hotel is the perfect location for business or convention travelers looking for a convenient central location. The only downside to this hotel is it is a few blocks from the beach and the Seaside Prom. 

Shilo Inn Seaside Oregon

The Shilo Inns and Suites Hotel has what most would consider the best hotel location in the city. Located oceanfront directly on the Seaside Promenade, Turnaround, and on Broadway Street. Once considered the nicest hotel in the area, the Shilo Inn has suffered in recent years due to lack of upkeep and improvements. With that being said, if you’re looking for the best view and location the Shilo is still the top choice. Recently, the hotel chain has added a Mo’s Seafood and Chowder Restaurant to it’s primate Oceanfront Dining location. 

River Inn Hotel Seaside Oregon


River Inn at Seaside

The River Inn at Seaside is one of Seaside’s newest hotels located on the Necanicum River one block from downtown and two blocks from the Ocean. This award-winning hotel prides itself on it’s beautiful artwork and common spaces, plus a great river view. The River Inn features 48 rooms and suites and one of Seaside’s only saltwater pools, making it the perfect location for those looking to spend more time at the hotel and enjoy the amenities. This pet friendly hotel also features a beautiful riverfront common area and fire pit for all to enjoy. The downside to this hotel is it’s a few blocks from the beach and the Seaside Civic and Convention Center making it a short walk form any of the major events and activities that Seaside has to offer. What the hotel lacks in location it more than makes up with it’s cleanliness, beauty, and amenities. 

WorldMark Resort at Seaside

The WorldMark Seaside is an Oceanfront hotel located on the Seaside Promenade and steps from the Seaside Turnaround. This world-class beachfront resort is arguably the best hotel in Seaside, but it’s operated as a Timeshare as opposed to a standard hotel. This means that you must obtain a “Guest Certificate” from an owner in order to stay at this property. That’s why we decided not to put it on our list, but if you can book a room through an owner then we highly recommend it for it’s modern amenities, pool, spa and location.
