The short answer to an easy question is no. Gravity Falls Oregon is a made up town in Disney’s “Gravity Falls” TV show. The writer himself (Alex Hirsch) creator of the show, has also confirmed that it is not a real place.

Now, with that said, the town is clearly based off of somewhere in Oregon. It is said that Alex based the show on a town that he remembered called Boring, Oregon. If you have ever been to Boring Oregon, you will begin to notice a few similarities to the show.

With all of this said, people still love to speculate and everyone loves a good mystery as you will see in the video below:

The video suggests that there is a statue hidden somewhere in Oregon. If you read through the comments in the video on youtube, you will hear about many people claiming to have found the said hidden statue, but we here a Visit Oregon cannot yet claim this (not yet anyway). We will however inspect more into this and shoot a video if we do indeed find the statue as claimed.

With all the fun and speculation to date, we can safely say that no, Gravity Falls Oregon is not a real place/ town. But the town it is based on is a place you can go and visit (Boring Oregon). With that said, the show does give a nod to Oregon and we always appreciate that 😁.
